The Homemakers Program is a collaborative initiative involving SMOC and the counties of Nobles, Rock, Pipestone, Murray, Jackson, Cottonwood, and Lincoln. Through this program, SMOC employees provide essential in-home support to adults who may otherwise face the possibility of nursing home placement. By delivering personalized care, we help individuals maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Our homemakers assist with a variety of daily tasks, making it possible for individuals to continue living at home. Services include:
Each client’s unique needs are assessed by Family Services Agency staff, who determine eligibility and assign specific tasks. This support not only enhances independent living but also empowers individuals to remain in their own homes as long as possible.
